Welcome to Eastwood

Great news!  I am excited to announce that Eastwood will meet for worship both in the morning and evening.  After eight weeks, the governor has lifted the restriction on public assemblies. The lifting of this restriction is contingent on the church’s ability to maintain the required social distancing. Eastwood is uniquely suited to comply with these parameters given the size of our sanctuary. I hope that you will consider attending. This Lord’s Day we will only offer worship, there will be no Sunday School or nursery available.  The service will still be live streamed on YouTube for those unable to attend. Below you will find the specific guidelines for our worship services.  I look forward to worshiping with you.
Sincerely,
Pastor Bart Lester

Protocols for Worship Services

There are guidelines which have been established by the Alabama Department of Public Health for worship services. We will attempt to comply with them and ask your help as we adjust to the changes. The guidelines as well as practical steps Eastwood is taking are listed below.

1 – We encourage those 65 and older and others especially at risk to watch the services remotely. We will continue to livestream services over our Youtube Channel. Please note, this is not a mandate.

2 – The deacons will be serving as ushers, so please follow their directions regarding seating. We cannot group up. 6’ spacing must be maintained between families and individuals. We have a specific seating arrangement in place, so again please follow the instructions of the deacons.

3 – If you or your children are feeling ill or are sick, please do not attend the worship services.

4 – Bulletins will be available on tables as you enter the narthex.

5 – Please do not use hymnals, psalters or pew bibles, all songs are printed in the bulletins.

6 – If you wish to wear a mask during services, please do so.

7 – Parents, please keep your children with you at all times. They should not be circulating in the sanctuary.

8 – Offerings will be collected in baskets at the end of the service, again on tables in the narthex.

9 – Fellowship after services should be outside the sanctuary. Please do not congregate inside the sanctuary after services end.

Please understand, these guidelines are necessary to make our return to in-person worship services as comfortable and safe as possible while complying with state health department protocols. Thank you for your cooperation.
