Meet Our Counselors
Lou Priolo
Director
Lou is a graduate of Calvary Bible College and Liberty University; he is the author of several books, including The Heart of Anger, The Complete Husband, Teach Them Diligently and Pleasing People. In addition to his books, Lou has dozens of CDs extrapolated from his almost twenty five years of lectures, teaching and preaching. He is the editor of a newly published and soon to be expanded series of booklets dealing with numerous counseling issues. He is also the editor of The Journal of Biblical Counseling. Lou is a Fellow in the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and an instructor at the Birmingham Theological Seminary. He travels frequently throughout the United States and abroad training pastors, laymen, and fellow counselors. During the past year he has travelled to Japan and Germany, and will travel to Italy this fall for six weeks. Lou’s expertise received attention from the United States Air Force and he recently completed a DVD series on counseling issues to be used with their chaplains. Click here for Lou’s website.
Brenda Payne
Counselor to Women and Children
Brenda is certified by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. She received her in-class and practicum training under the direction of Lou Priolo. In her sixth year as the lone female counselor, Brenda focuses her time on women and children’s issues, but also co-counsels for marriage and family related issues. She is a women’s conference speaker and bible study teacher. She is the author of several books, including Teach Them Diligently Workbook, The Put Off-Put On Workbook for Children, Motherhood-Hope for Discouraged Moms.
Pamela Boswell
Counselor to Women and Children
Pamela is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Horticulture Business in 1980, she and her husband moved to Orlando, Florida where she worked and they started their family. Moving back to Montgomery in 1995 she pursued a Master’s degree in Counseling from Auburn University Montgomery which she received in 2001. She has 8 years experience in a non-profit organization obtaining extensive experience with troubled children and their families. She has recently received certification from the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors having been supervised by Lou Priolo. Pamela currently leads a small group Bible study at Trinity Presbyterian Church finally accepting that she is an “older women” according to Titus 2.
Henry Beaulieu
Counselor
Henry is ordained in the Presbyterian Church of America and serves as the Associate Pastor of Family Ministries at Eastwood Presbyterian Church. He is certified to counsel by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. Henry received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College and his Master’s degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. Prior to his seminary training, Henry served in the U.S. Army as an Army Aviator and Maintenance Test Pilot. Henry served Iraq from 2006–2007 as a Brigade Chaplain and currently serves as the State Chaplain for the Alabama National Guard.
Doug Hudgins
Counselor
Doug is a certified counselor with The National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. He is a graduate of Toccoa Falls College and Troy State University and is currently enrolled in a PHD program in Biblical Counseling at Trinity Seminary. Doug and his wife, Lori, just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They have two adult children. Doug and Lori are members at Eastwood Presbyterian Church where Doug serves as a counselor.
