At Eastwood, we are committed to nurturing our covenant children in a safe, healthy environment. As such, the Session has adopted a set of policies and procedures for child safety and abuse prevention.

Eastwood’s policies require all employees and volunteers who work with children or youth (nursery, children’s ministry, or youth group) to complete training for sexual abuse awareness and prevention. Additionally, in accordance with best practices and insurance requirements, all employees or volunteers who work with children or youth must also complete an annual background check.

The training and background check can both be completed online through MinistrySafe, an organization that specializes in abuse prevention for churches and ministries.  To access the online training from Ministry Safe, click here: Link to Online Training
