Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord.  Psalm 127:3

At Eastwood, we believe that our children are covenant members of the visible church. As such, we take their discipleship serioiusly, and therefore, the children’s Ministry of Eastwood Church exists to glorify God through Word-centered discipleship of these covenant children. From infants through sixth grade, children are taught the love of Christ through various avenues including Sunday school and VBS. Additionally, our children's ministry as a whole encourages catechism training and family worship for all of our families.

Child and Youth Safety

At Eastwood, we are committed to nurturing our covenant children in a safe, healthy environment. As such, the Session has adopted a set of policies and procedures for child safety and abuse prevention.

Eastwood’s policies require all employees and volunteers who work with children or youth (nursery, children’s ministry, or youth group) to complete training for sexual abuse awareness and prevention. Additionally, in accordance with best practices and insurance requirements, all employees or volunteers who work with children or youth must also complete a background check.

The training and background check can both be completed online through MinistrySafe, an organization that specializes in abuse prevention for churches and ministries.
